Latest Update 24March 2020

In response to the Prime Minister’s statement last night curbing unnecessary movement and banning public meetings below outlines our response.

  1. Going digital: We moved all our essential church activities online last week, and sadly had to put everything else on hold.
  • We saw more than 1500 of us gathered in more than 650 homes to worship ‘live’ and many thousands more are continuing to watch as this week unfolds.
  • We welcome so many guests who wouldn’t normally go to church, alongside visitors from dozens of other countries such as India, Australia and South Africa.

  1. This coming Sunday: Sammy and Pete will be online again at 10am, but the host team and the worship will be stripped back in line with the new government restrictions and we will be pre-recording parts of the service elsewhere and at different times in the week.
  2. Love Your Neighbour: We are gearing up to launch a major new mission in response to the pandemic. Whether you need to get help or want to give help, we’re hatching some very exciting plans. The needs all around us have never been more urgent, and we are determined not just to survive this crisis but to engage proactively. Together we are going to bring comfort and support to many, some of us will be able to offer practical help, others have the skills to provide expert advice on a range of subjects (from debt-counselling to home-schooling to bereavement) and, of course, every single one of us can – and must – pray.
  3. Change is here to stay: Clearly the crisis is unfolding rapidly and we are constantly reviewing everything we do and we will be updating you as and when things develop.
